One of the new activities at Kipepeo is Kite Surfing. Kipepeo gets great winds for kite surfing in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and we have wind nearly all year around -we do not however rent out equipment.
Many of our guests enjoy strolls in the surrounding area and watching or playing a game of volleyball on the beach.
Our beach offers the ultimate environment for fun with shallow warm water and white sandy beaches plus a lot of sun.
Dekeza Dhows, located at Kipepeo beach, offers sailing trips to the nearby uninhabited islands and gives you a great snorkelling experience in the offshore waters. Sometimes even dolphins escort the dhows on their trips! If that is still not active enough for you, what about a kayak trip into the mangroves?

All Cruises are operated by traditional wooden dhows. The dhows are equipped with life vests and first aid kits. They are staffed by a professional crew and backed-up by a 15hp outboard motor. The Snorkelling, Sailing and Fishing trips include a Picnic lunch, snacks and Soft drinks, the Sunset Cruise includes Snacks and Soft drinks.

Here at Kipepeo Beach & Village, dar es salaam we have a variety of wildlife.
Apart from many different birds that live in the area, a variety of butterflies flutter around too. It is from these lovely butterflies we got our name Kipepeo (Kipepeo means butterfly in Swahili) Maybe you will catch a glimpse of the two families of mongoose that are living around Kipepeo Village, or hear the call of a bushbaby at night. In the area behind Kipepeo are salt pans surrounded by mangroves that provide a habitat for numerous birds and other small wildlife.
Bird lists are available at reception with bird species which have been spotted here by amateur bird watchers!
