“A rustic beach beauty”
“Kipepeo Beach Village is the perfect escape from the city of Dar and a great option if you want to spend a few nights in Dar es Salaam before heading over to Zanzibar. The staff and general managers, Erna and Dale, are extremely warm, friendly and willing to help with just about anything. We stayed in the very basic beach huts on the first night which are perfect for budget travelers who want to be right on the beach… Food and drinks at the bar/restaurant a definite highlight – fresh ingredients prepared really well… the thing that really makes Kipepeo special, apart from the gorgeous stretch of white sandy beach and warm, tropical ocean, is the people. “Cute Beach ‘Chalet’”
Two friends and I stayed at this Village before we started our overland safari with Acacia. I picked this place as I thought it would be easier with starting the safari: and it was. The reception arranged a taxi driver to pick us up from the airport. He was happy and polite. He told us about Dar on the way to the village. We stayed in a ‘Chalet’, and were happy with this. They were neat and tidy; all with mosquito nets. The showers were clean and just what we needed after 18 hours of traveling. The restaurant was nice. I highly recommend this place!
